Toshiba and Zoom Imaging Help Bring GRAND-AM Rolex Series DP Car and Drivers to Club Auto Sport
The No. 10 SunTrust Corvette Dallara DP team of Wayne Taylor Racing - backed by Toshiba and driven by Max Angelelli and Ricky Taylor - has been one of the fastest cars in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series this season. And the car, drivers and others from the team will be on hand for an unforgettable, open-to-the-public, meet-and-greet at Club Auto Sport - the unique club for auto enthusiasts and business community at 521 Charcot Ave. in North San Jose.
The GRAND-AM Rolex Series will be roaring into Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the Continental Tire Sports Car Festival Powered by Mazda on the weekend of September 7-9. However, with cars reaching speeds in excess of 130 mph, they may be a bit of a blur for most people.
So with help from Toshiba America Business Solutions and Club Auto Sport’s Gold Marketing Partner, Zoom Imaging Solutions - Toshiba’s 2010-2011 U.S. Dealer of the Year - will host the No. 10 SunTrust Corvette Dallara Daytona Prototype (DP), its drivers Angelelli and Taylor, and other personnel from Wayne Taylor Racing on Monday, September 10th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The No. 10 Corvette DP will be in full Toshiba colors - straight from its race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, CA - and the event is free and open to the public with advance registration here.
“Toshiba is excited to partner with Zoom Imaging to support this great event at Club Auto Sport,” said Paul Frost, Director of Managed Services and Enterprise Solutions, Motorsports at Toshiba America Business Solutions. “This outstanding venue gives customers and fans an ideal opportunity to meet our race team and representatives from GRAND-AM Road Racing. Our long partnership with GRAND-AM and Wayne Taylor Racing has been a key to our success nationwide.”
Exceptional Track Record
Wayne Taylor introduced SunTrust Racing and the No. 10 SunTrust Dallara DP to the Rolex Series in 2004. The following year, Taylor and Max Angelelli co-drove to the Rolex Series DP championship. Following the 2006 season, Wayne Taylor took on additional responsibilities with SunTrust and Wayne Taylor Racing - ultimately adding his son, Ricky, to the car’s stable of accomplished drivers in 2010.
Since its formation, SunTrust Racing has won at least one race every season - making it 20 victories, 59 podiums and 21 poles since 2004. This year, the team has had a run of bad luck, but won two races and remains in seventh place overall - still with a decent shot at making the top three before the Rolex Series season ends.
“Wayne Taylor Racing and Toshiba have been outstanding partners and competitors for GRAND-AM Road Racing over the years,” said Steve Harrison, GRAND-AM Director of Corporate Partnership and Development. “We are proud to have such a high-caliber organization compete in our series and bring their partners to our paddock as well. They are consistently one of the teams to beat every week in the exciting and very competitive GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.”
Toshiba America Business Solutions provides Wayne Taylor Racing sponsorship funding as well as essential office equipment, both in the office and trackside. Toshiba also partners with GRAND-AM Rolex Road Racing as the official document and business solutions provider.
The Toshiba-sponsored mobile business solutions center serves as a transportable office and production center for GRAND-AM teams, drivers, media, and race officials. It’s stationed at each GRAND-AM event nationwide and provides a full-service office environment with color printing, copying, scanning, and fax capabilities on Toshiba’s award-winning e-STUDIO multifunction products.
The business center’s meeting area also includes Toshiba laptops, a wireless Internet connection and a conference room with Toshiba HD LCD TVs and projectors.
Zoom Imaging Solutions has grown to become one of Central California’s premier vendors for digital copy, print, and scan equipment. It has consistently been recognized by Toshiba as its largest independently owned dealership - and been awarded Toshiba’s coveted ProMaster Service Award, reserved for Toshiba’s Top 20 North American dealerships. Zoom Imaging currently serves more than 9,000 businesses throughout Central and Northern California including much of the Central Valley.
Zoom Imaging became a Gold Marketing Partner at Club Auto Sport in 2011 and has been pleased to attend and receive exposure at a number of events at the club - as well as connecting with other motor sports enthusiasts
