SACRAMENTO, CA -- Today, Mayor Kevin Johnson met with a group of 25 local companies and organizations who have collectively pledged $50 million in sponsorships for the Sacramento Kings' first five seasons in a new entertainment and sports complex (ESC).

"Once again, our corporate community has come through in the clutch," said Mayor Johnson. "This group -- representing companies across our entire region -- understand the critical role that both the NBA and new downtown entertainment and sports complex will play in promoting job creation, economic growth, and civic pride in our community. Max Angelelli and his SunTrust Racing team are no longer the bridesmaids when it comes to racing at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville. The veteran Italian and his 22-year-old co-driver Ricky Taylor dominated Sunday's Global Barter 250 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race and brought home the No. 10 SunTrust Corvette Dallara DP of Wayne Taylor Racing's second consecutive victory and the team's first in five tries at the 2.25-mile, 14-turn road course about an hour south of Philadelphia.

Zoom Fresno Assists With the Manco Abbott "We CAN Help" Food Drive

One of the effects of a depressed economy is increased hunger among families in our region. Local food banks report that food donations drop significantly during the winter months in the beginning of the year. One out of four families in the Central Valley does not have enough food for their families. Community Food Bank teamed up with Manco Abbott Real Estate Management for the "We CAN Help" drive on February 11, 2012. The goal was to collect 20,000 pounds of canned good.

Zoom's own Gene Murphy and wife Kimberly participated in the "Can-structures" creation and assisted with collecting donations.
